| Welcome to the new issue of the
"Island of Sardinia". We would like to express our gratitude to all our readers who have made this Internet Magazine such a phenomenal success. When we started we could never have imagined even in our wildest dreams that so many readers would be interested in Sardinia. Looking through our site's access log it is truly amazing to see the number of visitors to our site from all over the world. It has been an emotionally satisfying experience reading and answering the hundreds of Emails we have received. These Emails express not only an interest in and a desire for more information about Sardinia but also a knowledge of and a love for Sardinia. In particular we would like to thank all the people of Sardinian origin who Emailed us thanking us for this site. We would also like to thank all those people who contacted us for information or to offer suggestions to improve the Magazine. We would like to apologize for not being able to answer your Emails speedily. We do try to satisfy all requests for information as fast as we can. In the previous issue we explained that our site was more than just another Internet site but was a real Magazine dedicated to the environment, culture and history of Sardinia and its peoples. We have had many requests for hard copies of the Magazine. This was very pleasing but unfortunately we are an Internet Magazine and no hard copies of the Magazine are printed. The Magazine is available only via Internet. These requests have set us thinking that we might produce a CD version, with larger photos and films. We would be very grateful if you could Email us, letting us know if in your opinion there is a market for such a CD (cd@sardi.it). We are looking forward to welcoming you to Sardinia! |
